5-star rating system
Outfitter accommodation is classified according to several criteria. Under Tourism Québec's requirements, the QOF has classified its nearly 5,000 accommodation units. The objective of this classification scheme is to give you a better idea about the quality and amenities of each unit, helping you to decide on one that best suits your needs. 

2011 is the first year that the 5-star rating system will take effect. Since it was introduced in 1988 the old 4-star rating system has become obsolete, causing imbalances in the ratings of accommodation units. In addition to meeting TQ's new quality standards, the 5-star system provides a more accurate picture of accommodation across the network of outfitters
